The Canadian Association of Research Administrators (CARA) is hosting the 2027 INORMS Congress in partnership with the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA), the National Organization of Research Development Professionals (NORDP) and L'Association des administratrices et administrateurs de recherche universitaire du Québec (ADARUQ). This partner consortium is pleased to open this call for posters.

The objectives of the Congress align with those of INORMS, which are to internationalize the body of knowledge on research management, exchange best practices, and develop international approaches to supporting the research enterprise.

Submissions can be made in English or French

Poster Themes

Poster topics may include themes aligned with the conference streams:

Policy & Governance

Research Intelligence, EDI & Accessibility, Decolonization & Indigenization

Proposal Development

Grants, contracts & awards · Intellectual Property · Generative AI

Post-award Compliance

Poster Competition & Awards

The poster competition winner will receive a free registration to INORMS 2029 and $500 (Canadian). An award of $500 (Canadian) will also be given to the People’s Choice winner.

To be eligible for the prize(s), the poster author must be registered and in attendance at the conference, but anyone may submit a poster to the competition.

Criteria for Poster Presentations

Submission Format:

  • Presentation format: 1 page, portrait or landscape orientation
  • File type: PDF (Max. 5 MB)
  • File name: First Author last name, first initial (e.g., Smith J.pdf)

The poster must contain:

  • Presentation Title
  • Name(s) and Affiliation(s) of all Presenters
Judging Criteria

Submissions will be reviewed and rated confidentially by judges on the following:

  • The quality of the research/project described on the poster.
  • The quality/success of the poster from a communications perspective.
  • Applicability/usefulness of the research/project described to research administrators.

Voting Begins: January 2, 2027

Final decisions will be made no later than February 26, 2027.
