The Canadian Association of Research Administrators (CARA) is hosting the 2027 INORMS Congress in partnership with the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA), the National Organization of Research Development Professionals (NORDP) and L'Association des administratrices et administrateurs de recherche universitaire du Québec (ADARUQ). This partner consortium is pleased to open this call for sessions and workshops.
The objectives of the Congress align with those of INORMS, which are to internationalize the body of knowledge on research management, exchange best practices, and develop international approaches to supporting the research enterprise.
Submissions can be made in English or French
Workshops Tuesday, April 27, 2027 – 3 hours.
Sessions & panels Wednesday April 28 – Friday April 30, 2027 – 45 minutes.

Multiple submissions are allowed, however, the INORMS Congress Program Committee (ICPC) reserves the right to streamline the program and thus cannot be expected to honour all submissions from an individual or a group of individuals.
Selection Criteria
Submissions will be reviewed and rated confidentially by the ICPC on the following:
- How well organized and defined is the submitted idea (recognizing that the idea may be further refined)?
- How relevant, current, or of interest will the idea be to the research administration community more broadly or to a subset of research administrators (e.g., those who work in finance or proposal development)?
- Is there opportunity for attendee engagement? What are the planned opportunities for member engagement or interaction with the presenter(s) and/or with each other? (e.g., Q&A session, or in the case of workshops, break-out groups, roundtable discussions, etc.)
Final decisions will be made no later than November 15, 2026.
⚠️ Please be aware that CARA, NCURA, NORDP, ADARUQ and INORMS are volunteer organizations.
❌ No reimbursements or stipends will be offered to presenters.
How to Submit an Abstract
- Click on the "Submit Abstract" button below. This will take you to a VFairs Abstract Submission page.
- Create a login using your email address and password.
- Complete the required details including:
- Abstract title, keywords, and brief details about the abstract – this last section will be limited to 150 words max.
- Abstract submitter details: Names of all presenters with email, phone number, and name of the institution or company representing. You will also need to include bios and headshots as part of the submission.
- Other details can be included in the notes area.
- Press Submit.
